How to Publish to Google for Jobs
Create or Edit Your Job
- Go to Recruitment > Jobs
- Either create a new job or click Edit on an existing one
- Ensure all required information is complete:
- Job title
- Description (at least 200 characters)
- Location
- Employment type
- Salary information (recommended)
Complete job postings with salary information perform better on Google for Jobs.
Navigate to Job Boards Tab
- Click on the Job Boards tab at the top of the edit page
- You'll see a list of available job boards
- Look for "Google for Jobs" in the list
Automatic Publishing: When you publish to Google for Jobs, your job is automatically published to two locations:
- Flowxtra.com - The main Flowxtra job board (Publisher: flowxtra.com)
- Your Global Application Link - Your selected branded path (e.g.,
acme.apply-jobs.net)
Both locations have their own sitemap that Google automatically crawls and indexes.
Publish to Google
- Check the box next to "Google for Jobs"
- Review the preview to see how your job will appear
- Click "Publish" button
- Wait for confirmation message

Google Indexing:
Each global application link has its own XML sitemap:
- Located at:
https://acme.apply-jobs.net/sitemap.xml(or your specific domain) - Google automatically crawls this sitemap
- Jobs are indexed and appear in Google search results
- Indexing time: Typically 24-48 hours, but can take up to 72 hours
Google crawls your sitemap regularly. Once indexed, any new jobs you publish will be discovered and indexed automatically.

After 24-48 hours:

- Check that all information displays correctly

Requirements for Google for Jobs
To ensure your job appears on Google, make sure it meets these requirements:
Essential Information

- Click "Update"
- Job will be removed within 24-48 hours
Alternatively:
- Close the job (stops accepting applications)
- Delete the job (removes completely)
Tracking Performance
View Analytics
- Go to Recruitment > Manage Jobs
- Click on your job
- Click "Analytics" button
- View metrics:
- Views: How many people saw your job
- Clicks: How many clicked to learn more
- Applications: How many applied
- Source: Where candidates came from (including Google)
Understanding Metrics
- High views, low clicks: Improve your job title or summary
